We have a varied activities schedule with activities
every morning and afternoon including meaningful
activities such as pursuing hobbies, gardening,
quizzes, competitions and sports.
Many of our residents have an active social life. In fact, many residents have a far more active social life at Tudor Lodge than they had before they moved here.
We encourage socialising through our structuring of the environment within the home, and by providing opportunities to socialise such as group activities, coffee mornings and Happy Hour.
We have a varied activities schedule with activities every morning and afternoon including meaningful activities such as pursuing hobbies, gardening, quizzes, competitions and sports. We offer resources for anyone who prefers to pursue independent activities such as reading or listening to the radio. In addition, we have large selections of games, puzzles, craft resources for use at any time, and our Activity Co-ordinator arranges regular trips and outings to areas of local interest, theatres and pubs.
We aim to keep residents engaged and connected with their local community, often by bringing schools, local groups and religious practitioners into the home and we also go to them, joining schools for their performances and attending events in Burnham-on-Sea.
We aim to promote residents’ wellbeing by enabling them to keep active and connected to others, and thus reduce anxieties and depression
We hope to help them maintain their mobility and cognitive skills for longer, through encouragement and an engaging activities schedule. We provide iPads and laptops to enable families to communicate with their loved ones and provide safe opportunities for families to visit their relatives.
